The
First Small Business Training Program Designed for Women
The Women’s Business Center of New York State has the first
women’s training program geared toward women thinking about
owning their own business and women business owners that are struggling
to get their business off the ground
Technology
WBC is equipped for you to use computers, internet access and
software to create business plans, assistance with financial forecasts
or reviewing marketing materials.The center also provides computer
classes on E-commerce, including Internet marketing and developing
a web site.
Counseling
A business counselor is available to help with everything from
business planning to marketing and technical assistance to loan
procurement.
Training
WBC offers a forty-hour Small Business Training Program that provides
the nuts and bolts to growing your own business and we also provide
specialized training programs. Call for a schedule.
Referrals
In order to satisfy your individual needs, WBC may refer you to
one of our many partners, such as SCORE, the Small Business Development
Center, or SBA’s Business Information Center.

Graduates from our program who have become successful business
owners serve as mentors to our clients, exchanging ideas and offering
strategies to help you succeed in business, too.
SBA Loan Programs
WBC provides information on SBA programs and services and will
assist you in choosing the right SBA program.
PRO-Net
WBC can help you register for SBA’s Procurement Marketing
and Access Network (PRO-Net). This is a vital tool for selling
to the government.
MWBE Certification
WBC assists women-owned businesses with the application for the
New York Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise Certification.
